Blue Christmas

City Crafter girls have a blue Christmas challenge inspired by a photo  of  A creative Mint.  Such beautiful inspiration and I am in such Chritmas mood you would not beleive, so I made a Christmas ornament for the challenge, here is my entry
Some Maya Road chipboard, MR ribbon, swirl, Kaiser pearls and some findings!

Deck the Halls with Snow Day

er, boughs of holly, falalalala, tis the season to Crate Paper, falalala, er again....I'm sorry I just can't help myself.  You see I live in the tropics, outside right now it's 83 degrees, sunny and warm and so very nice and even when the collection's name is Snow Day to me it has the nicest colors for Christmas an island girl could wish.  And so they have inspired me beyond all boundaries, hope you enjoy the following presentation.  As I was doing the full sized version of this, remember the tiny version?
I fell in love with this little tree, I had to put it facing the green side for contrast but I thought wouldn't it be cool to be able to embroider the little fellow?

That had me going and I sat down pen and felt in hand and after sketching, needle and floss in hand I created myself some company for my chair...

out for publication!!!
be back in a little while!
See what I tell you about the little fellow, so cute in paper so cute in my chair and so it happened the dining room table was standing by and said how about dressing me up?  So paper and then needle in hand I got to work again...
the tree with the heart has got to be my fave...

Sorry about the backwards photo but it's the only way you can see the whole thing, my table is big!
The avalanche continues, when my daughter saw this she tought it was for her bedroom, I had finished her a quilt 5 months ago... And so more pen and crayons and needles but before that I have to show you how to dress your plates for such a darling runner
These are some bitty boxes I dressed up that can help your guests find their way to the table

more paper and felt inspired designs, as you see every single bit of paper has been put to use, make a paper garland with your kids, it's inexpensive, pretty and fun!

How about some stocking? you can sew a few and decorate the house, the tree, give to your kids teachers, neighbors and so on...

or decorate some chipboard ornaments

or hang more stockings...

or do more ornaments

How about a skirt for the tree, hubbie's idea, like I had done nothing...Snow Day inspired of course

Now don't mind this sleepy face, she colored the masterpiece I told you before!
Now here are some priceless moments, teaching your 6 year old embroidery and seing her finish it up beautifully, makes up for a VERY PROUD mama!

And here is her bedroom all dressed up for Christmas just the way she wanted!

Now someone needed to do something about all those felt scraps, so another non lonely chair for the holidays is happy now!  Thanks so much for looking up thrugh the longest post in PB history, I hope I have inspired you to deck your house with some holiday magic!
Hugs
Milly

Christmas Joy

Hi, I was inspired this week to make a mini album using Kazan's sketch to make the front cover.  I used tons of Melissa Frances, Maya Road envelopes, Webster Pages, Crate Paper and Pink Paislee, guess they all work out together!

 Some inside views, back cover
I can't wait to have this filled with Chritmas memories, so fun work in different sizes
And here's a LO inpired by TCR colors, celebrating the New Smile!
tons of hand stitching here
